Double room in sunny Crouch End flat from mid-Aug

Hi! My partner (Nusrath, 24, Bengali Muslim, She/her) and I (Han, 26, They/Them) are looking for a friendly and clean flatmate to take over a room in our lovely flat from August 13th. We are fairly flexible on dates earlier than that and could discuss if needed.

Location:

We live in Crouch End, 15 mins walk from Highgate Tube (Northern Line), 20 mins walk from Crouch Hill Overground and 10 mins from regular buses to Finsbury Park and central London.

We’re also 10 mins walk from the centre of Crouch End with shops, cafes, pubs, libraries and a leisure centre with London’s biggest heated open air lido!

Accessibility:

First floor flat, up two flights of stairs with a step at the front door. The path to the front door is via a fairly uneven concrete driveway. The flat itself is all on one level. Unfortunately there is no lift or intercom.

About the room:

A small double, comfortably fits a double bed, wardrobe and shelf/desk. It comes with a mattress, bed and wardrobe. There’s tonnes of storage space elsewhere in the flat too.

Rent: £766.67 PCM
Lease: 2 years

We have a 2 year lease, which has proved to be incredibly helpful given the housing market, so somebody who’s certain about staying in London over the next couple of years would be ideal. Bills are between £100-150PCM, Council Band D.

We rent directly from our landlord, and unfortunately they do not accept those receiving universal credit.

Nusrath is also a freelancer and has been asked to provide a guarantor, so this may also be necessary if you are self-employed.

About us:

Han works in TV, and Nusrath is an actor/writer. We’re friendly, love a pub boogie, TV and films, and cooking and baking. We also like gardening and have a fair few plants!

We’d love a fairly sociable house, and a flatmate that we can hang out, cook meals, or play board games with from time to time would be lush. But we also work a lot and hold our quiet time very dearly, so are respectful of space too.

No TERFs and no Tories - our home is our safe space and we’d love to share it with someone who shares our values.

Han and I are clean and tidy, and with our current flatmate have a weekly cleaning rota, so someone who’s also tidy would be grand! We’re both veggie but would ask for no pork in the flat.
