Hello!
I am looking for someone to share this 2-bed apartment in Greenwich. I have been living here for over 2 years and looking for someone to take the second bedroom that will be vacant come July. My current housemate is moving out to live abroad.
The apartment is on the top floor of Babbage Point, a new-build block of flats beside the Deptford Creek, Greenwich. the whole property boasts fantastic views overlooking the water and out to Canary Wharf and feels very peaceful and private. We have an open plan kitchen and living space with a private terrace that pops off all year round. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so we have one each, I am currently inhabiting the main bedroom which has a little en-suite so I never use the larger bathroom, it will be entirely yours.
My name is Alec, I am 28 years old, originally from Manchester and living in London for around 6 years now. I am working full time as an Architectural Assistant, whilst studying part-time at university for my final year of architecture (part III).
I don't have a strict criteria for potential flatmates, I just want someone who is friendly, respectful, can clean up after themself and doesn't steal my stuff. I generally get along with everyone I meet and am very laid back myself. I spend most of my free time with my friends and girlfriend (she has her own place), playing and watching sports, particularly love footie, getting about to galleries and parks, making my own art and going out on the weekends (although very study focused until September).
It would be preferred for any new flatmate to be in full-time employment, just to simplify things with the landlord (there are no agents involved, everything is done directly with the landlord.
PETS: Landlords preference is for no pets but can potentially be negotiated with them (I'm a fan of all pets so no issue from me)
We are 2 minutes walk from Greenwich DLR station which is very well connected to London Bridge/ Bank/ Farringdon etc and 5 minutes walk from The Cutty Sark at Maritime Greenwich. I cycle to work and takes around 30 minutes to get to Tower Bridge. The town is absolutely lovely and has everything you need, it is literally a UNESCO World Heritage Site so strolling around the park on the weekend is class.
Please do not hesitate to message me if you have any questions, I am fairly busy and can only do viewing in the evenings (7pm onwards). I can also put you in touch with the landlord if you want to talk things through or negotiate anything with them.
Please make sure you have read the whole advert and are clear on the terms before messaging me. Let me know a bit about yourself and how you live & apologies if I don't respond as I won't have the time to talk to absolutely everyone/ offer viewings to everyone.
Living room photos show a desk in the centre of the room, this is just my flatmates work-from-home setup and will not be there in the future unless you also want a desk there. I work in the office all days and rarely from home so you will have the flat to yourself in the daytime if a remote worker.
