I am sadly leaving my room in Kings Cross after living here for 3 years as I need to be in another part of London. The good news is that it’s available for someone else to move in and enjoy. Will it be you?

The home
This is a gem of a house in zone 1. It’s a 4 bed, with a living room, lots of counter space and dining table in the long kitchen complete with your mod cons, a patio to lounge in the sun or BBQ during summer. There’s 1 family bathroom, 1 extra shower room, and 1 additional W. C - minimal waiting time to get ready. There is also plenty of place for storage.

The room and bills
A double room at the top of the home with a Velux window for plenty of sun. The window comes with its own blackout shade and ventilation flap. Essential furniture is included (double bed, bedside drawer, clothes drawer, mini shelf, and an open wardrobe). My computer table, chair, and additional bookshelf can be negotiated if you need them. The room is £833.45 per month and this is paid directly to the agent. Bills are not included and are managed by the housemates. It’s roughly an additional £100 per person (water, council tax, gas + electricity, internet). We also have a cleaner for the shared areas once a month and we share the cost to restock essentials whenever they run out (toilet paper, kitchen roll, cleaning supplies etc. once every 3 months)

The housemates
You will be living with 3 friendly housemates - Trevor (game design artist), Morwenna (corporate manager for a charity), and Jonah (finance for a music company). They have been lovely housemates and we sometimes have dinner together whilst watching TV in the living room and occasionally play board games. We respect each others’ space and there is never any pressure to socialise together.

The area
I have loved living here as it’s really convenient - 10 mins walk to Kings Cross with multiple tube lines and St Pancras/Eurostar. It’s 30 minutes door-to-door to almost all of zones 1-2 in London. There are lovely areas at walking distance for a chilled weekend or to meet with friends and family: Coal Drops Yard (5 mins), Angel/Islington (15mins), Camden (20 mins). We have plenty of supermarkets nearby too - Waitrose (5mins), Tesco (10mins), a big Sainsbury’s (15mins) as well as convenience shops. There are 2 post offices within a 5 min walk.

What we are looking for
We are a relaxed household and are looking for a flatmate that is respectful, cleans up after themselves, and doesn’t mind socialising in shared spaces occasionally. Please make sure you have a bio in your profile so that we can learn more about you and to see if we’d be a great fit together.

Logistics
I am looking to move out at the end of June’24 and can be flexible with my moving out date if needed. You will be signing onto an existing lease with the housemates with an option to extend in August (the housemates have extended the yearly contract for at least 10 years). The landlord and agent are easy going and quick to respond when there is an emergency or when something in the house needs fixing.

The next viewing days with slots are 15th May (Wed) and 16th May (Thurs) after 6pm.
