£1,100 single occupancy (bills included) + £100 cleaning fee.
Stylish bedroom and bathroom. Our home was built in the late 1910s and was architecturally redesigned and renovated with high standards. We are in the process of finishing furnishing and decorating it. There are a lot of artworks throughout the house and more paintings are waiting to be hung on the walls. The neighbourhood is pleasant, the underground and overground stations are a 5-minute walk away, to reach London's most central locations in 20 minutes.
THE SPACE
The bedroom is 6m long per 2.5m wide, i. e. 15 sqm large. It is on the first floor and windows open to the back garden. The ceiling features exposed timber beams. There is a double bed (140cm x 200 cm memory foam mattress. There is a desk, so it is handy if you sometimes work from home. The room comes with a private shower and cloakroom with WC, sink and mirror walled cabinet located on the ground floor of the house.
STORAGE
Storage is limited in the room.
There is:
- One sideboard which is 160 cm long x 60 cm high x 45 cm deep.
- One coat hanger 70 cm long.
- Another coat hanger 75 cm long with 75 cm long shelf underneath.
- There is space to fit a small additional storage unit for clothes in the bedroom between both windows or underneath the windows.
- There is a shoe cabinet in the shower where you can probably store 8 pairs of shoes.
- There is a cellar where you can store your luggage.
GUEST ACCESS
You can use the kitchen to prepare your meals. It has a 6-metre-long glazing and is flooded with light, with a view of a pretty garden with lawn. There is also a reception room where you can relax whenever you feel like it. I usually works from home in the study, but you are welcome to use the study when I am away.
NEIGHBOURHOOD
The house is located in Walthamstow Central, a 5-minute walk from the underground station and a 20-minute underground ride to the heart of London. Walthamstow is defined as an upcoming part of London. It is arty and multicultural.
WHO YOU WILL LIVE WITH
I am a French-Italian man in my late 40s. I work in product marketing for a global company, mainly from home. I have a very friendly female cat called LaGatta.
The reason why I am sharing the house is that my partner will be living in Spain and will have to rent a place there. He is an interior architect, and he designed our house. He will sometimes come to visit, and I will regularly go to Spain and work from there too.
I have another lodger whose name is Katie. She is English, vegan, works in marketing and loves practicing yoga.
We are both quiet. Living in a tidy and clean house is important for us. We are looking to someone who is similar to us.
I may need you to look after our cat when I am away. She is very low maintenance. She just needs food and water (food and instructions will be provided). She loves playing and cuddling if you are into it. Friends of ours can come and feed her if housemates are away for a few days.
IMPORTANT
We have spent years renovating this house and we really care for it. It is a little bit like our baby, and we would like to keep it in good shape as long as possible. We are looking for someone who will appreciate this and will look after our place as if it was theirs.
We have a cleaner who comes for 3 hours every week. However, as the house is very large, they don’t have the time to clean each room each time. So, it is important that everyone keeps their space as tidy and clean as possible by themselves.
