Hey All!
Looking for someone to take my large double bedroom in Tooting Broadway from June 14th 2024, as I am moving in with my partner. Room is semi-furnished (bed included). We are looking for a working professional between 25-34 approximately. Rent and bills together is ~£1070pcm (£960 rent and ~£110 bills)
The Room
The room is bright and spacious, with two large south facing windows giving loads of natural light. It has lots of storage, with two wardrobes (one walk-in) and a double bed with more storage space under it. There is plenty of space for a desk and any other furniture you need. (I WFH most days and have plenty of space).
The house is a recently-decorated modern 3-bed with a separate living room, kitchen and garden. Large bathroom with bath & shower. We look after the house well and the landlord is very responsive.
Location
The house is a less than 10 min walk from Tooting Broadway, on a quiet road off the main street. It has good transport connections, being a 5 minutes walk from both Tooting Broadway and Colliers Wood tube stations (northern line). Good bus connections to Balham, Clapham, Wimbledon and towards central.
Tooting broadway is a lively area with two brilliant markets with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and cafes. It's also a great spot for charity shop finds!
If you like nature and green spaces, there are several parks and a little nature reserve all within walking distance, including Tooting Common which is a slightly longer walk. (We are praying for the lido to reopen this summer!🌊)
The Housemates
Pete (28) and Freya (27) are both working professionals - Pete is a personal trainer and Freya works in international development. We are a social house, all being friends from Uni (don't ask how long ago!) and are looking for someone who wants to be part of a home and not just housemates. If you want to contribute to a relaxing, safe, and welcoming space you'll fit right in. We enjoy nights in together with cocktails, dinner and boardgames, as well as the odd pub quiz or night out! Freya is usually baking, gardening or doing yoga, and Pete is a musician and film buff. Bonus points if you love the planet! 🌏✌️ Any contributions to the vinyl, board game, or house plant collections are welcome :) (but not required)
The property is under a joint tenancy agreement, where you will be taking my place in the agreement. The lease runs until Feb 28th 2025, at which point it moves onto a rolling contract. The deposit is £961.33, which is kept in a deposit protection scheme. Parking on the street is available with a permit.
