A social and independent elderly person with poor memory is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

They would benefit from a friendly and responsible person living in their home as a ‘helpful friend’ to give reassurance for their family, in case of an emergency, and to lend a hand as might be useful with cooking a few meals, carrying heavier shopping, prompts and reminders, accompanying on some outings and ad hoc other practical help and errands as might arise. They want to remain as independent as possible.

The accommodation on offer is a bright, self-contained studio with its own spacious bed/sitting room (single bed, sofa, armchair, small desk), kitchenette and bathroom.

The property is in an excellent location just 10 minutes’ walk from Victoria Station.

The person is very sociable with a good network of friends. They enjoy watching TV, art, outings (such as to galleries, the cinema), and their two small dogs.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a working professional who is positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable and who ideally shares some of the person’s interests. Non-smokers only.
