I'm looking to take a lodger in my room while I work abroad in Australia for 4-6 months from June 2024. I already live with one other person, George, and you would share the flat with him.

The house has a beautiful entrance and equally good views across the park from the living room. I am still adding things here and there but have an interesting collection of 17-20thC prints and an eclectic bunch of furniture from local antique shops and auctions giving our shared spaces a homely and pleasant atmosphere. I'm sociable and have designed the flat with guests in mind. We have fast Wi-fi (included) and a through-house Sonos system.

The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob, brand new washer/drier and coffee machine. The recently redecorated bathroom has a good shower and a large free-standing bath. Your bedroom has plenty of storage space and a new Ella mattress. For peace mind I have had the plumbing, gas, fire safety and electrics assessed and modernised up to the council's rental licensing standard.

As George works in Glasgow you will likely have the flat to yourself for several days a week. The lodging period covers the Fringe Festival and there is no increase in rent for that - but it's only a 20 minute cycle to the city centre.

I'll need you to be able to begin lodging in June and commit to at least 4 months here with 1 month's notice to move out when I come home. It's a beautiful place to stay if you're just arriving in Edinburgh yourself.
