We are 3 students, 1 final year mechanical engineer and 2 4th year medics, looking for a housemate to join us for the 2024/25 year. We are a sociable house and regularly cook together and enjoy socializing. We would ideally like another student as we are all students already!
The house is an end terrace house on Croydon Road, the bedroom available is the upstairs rear bedroom - the room does have a desk and is laid out to be more spacious but still with a double bedroom. The room has a lot of storage space with a wardrobe and chest of drawers as well as a spacious desk to work at.
There is one downstairs bathroom and the kitchen is shared. The house comes fully furnished and has all the basic crockery and kitchen equipment provided by the landlord to be used communally saving on the amount of kitchen things you need to bring. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The landlord is a private landlord and is very attentive, if anything is needed for the house then it is bought for us by her (this includes kitchen appliances) and any issues we have had with the house have been sorted out promptly. A new boiler was installed last December and the water is included in the rent reducing the amount paid in bills.
Parking at the house is street parking and it is usually easy to find a space along the road.
The house is located very close to Bristol Road, the tesco garage is a 5 minute walk away for any last minute ingredients. The University gym is a 3 minute walk away and the centre of the University campus is a 7 minute walk away making it an ideal location for students. Selly Oak train station is a 10 minute walk away giving excellent links to the City Centre and beyond and there is a bus stop just around the corner giving access to the city centre also.
2 of us have lived here for the past year and have thoroughly enjoyed living in the house due to its location and our attentive landlord. We welcome applications from anyone interested!
