Sadly, our lovely housemate is leaving the country to go and teach in Columbia so here we are... we have a Double Room available from the 8th August, at the amazing value of £570 per month, all bills and cleaner included!! (I know, we still can't believe it either!)

Location
Everyone knows Clapham Common is by far the best of the "Claphams"...5 minutes to Clapham Junction on the bus (stop at the end of the street) and 10 minute walk to Clapham Common tube station, what more could you want?!
The house is on the outskirts of Clapham Old town, a gem within Clapham Common with many bars, restaurants and Starbucks (other coffee providers are available, just not as good). The area still manages to feel residential and homely, but still within easy reaching distance of central London.
There's on street parking, permitted Mon-Fri, but it's no hassle getting a permit from the council.

The House
It's a 2 storey flat in a 3 storey house (we're 1st and 2nd floors), so there's just one other flat in the house, a young family who we get on well with. The house has recently been repainted outside.
The flat has a really nice homely feel with a shared bathroom (bathtub with shower over) and separate WC, Kitchen (usual appliances, plenty of cupboard space). Shared lounge/diner with freeview TV and sky broadband. We also have a cleaner who comes every fortnight, included in the rent!

The room
All the bedrooms in the house are on the 2nd floor. The room for rent is the smallest in the house but perfectly functioning! It comes furnished with a double bed (space to store underneath), chest of drawers and wardrobe. There's also additional storage space just outside the room. There's a lot of storage!

Us
We're both young professionals. Scott's a Mental Health Nurse, originally from the East Midlands (NOT THE NORTH) and Laura's from near Brighton (definitely not Eastbourne) and works in Human Resources, also studying for further qualifications. We get along really well living together and want another person to join the mix. We both have our own lives and circles of friends but are not averse to the odd meal out together or weekends away...we both went over to Copenhagen for Scott's birthday last April and went on a cruise to Norway. We both love theatre, cooking and fitness and are always up for doing stuff as a house. Laura's a vegetarian so being mindful and considerate of this is a must please.

You
We're looking for someone around our age who is a working professional. If you've mastered the art of conversation, that would definitely be a plus! Like we said, this house is our home and we want it to be yours too, so it's really important we all get on. We're a pretty peaceful household and respectful of each others schedules, we like a drink but we're definitely not party animals, so looking for someone like-minded.

The boring bits
We rent the house through an estate agents so there's an admin/application fee which is £250. The deposit for the room is £450, payable direct to the person moving out and monthly rent is £570, which includes bills. Amazing price for where we are!
