We are currently looking for a friendly flat-mate for a single bedroom in our first-floor flat in Finchley. Located just two minutes walk from Central Finchley tube station, the flat is in an ideal location for anyone looking to commute into the city centre. It is also based just five minutes walk from a large Tescos and all the shops, and amenities of central Finchley – including a variety of different bus routes. Based in a converted house, the flat also has its own parking space and a private garden at the back of house, exclusively for the use of the first-floor flat. The garden is astro-turfed, so very low maintenance.

The flat is on a safe, residential street and there is very little street-noise – especially in the bedrooms, as these are based at the back of the house (incidentally, the tube line is based on the opposite side of the street from the house, so we don’t get any noise from the trains either). The flat comes furnished and consists of a fully-equipped kitchen (which includes a fridge/freezer, microwave, fan oven/stove, and a combi washing machine and tumble drier), a lounge, bathroom (with both bath and shower), hallway and two bedrooms (one double, one single).

About you: We would like to live with a professional (no students or DSS please) who is friendly, considerate and respectful of others, and ideally about the same age as us – so late twenties/early thirties. We do like to keep the flat fairly clean and tidy, so would want someone who treats the flat in the same way. It would be great to get to know someone new, as well as finding a new flatmate, so it would be really nice to live with someone who would be keen to join us for a bit of a chat, film or to go out for an occasional drink etc.

About us: We are a friendly, easy-going, professional couple, both 30 and working in the education sector. We enjoy meeting new people, travelling, cooking/baking, reading, going to the theatre, watching films, eating out and socialising. We both work hard during the week, so tend to just relax at home on weekday evenings, so the flat isn’t a party flat – although we do like to have friends over occasionally at weekends.

Rent is £500 per month, ALL BILLS INCLUDED. This means that you will have the peace of mind of knowing exactly what you will be paying each month. The current contract is due to expire on 27 September, which is when our current flatmate will sadly be moving out. Therefore, we would be looking for someone to hopefully move in on 28 September, at the start of the new contract, but we could be flexible if you would be looking to move in a little later than that. The contract is being renewed as a rolling contract with a two month notice period as of September.
