For close to a grand a month you could expect to rent a studio flat. I'll bet it will be sparsely furnished and located in a somewhat lesser desirable area, and the rent will definitely not include the utility bills nor your council tax.
You probably won't even have a sliver of outdoor space to sun yourself and enjoy a long ice-cool drink with mates around the barbecue when the weather warms up, this in an expansive back garden, I have to say, the size of a small park.
The enormous room has an extremely high ceiling and large sash windows, which allows in a lot of natural light. The room overlooks the vast back garden.
The room contains a double bed, sofa, dining table for two, large wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The floor has now been carpeted.
The flat also has a shared kitchen with all the usual appliances and required kitchenware. There's a washing machine and tumble drier.
All bills and council tax are included in rent.
Our flat is a 10 min walk along a leafy upmarket street to Highgate tube station. It's a 25 min journey to stations as far as Bank and Waterloo, on the Northern Line, even during morning peak hours. The bus stop for direct buses to Camden, Kentish Town, Swiss Cottage and Muswell Hill are within 5 minutes walk from the house.
In all of the expanse of London there's no greener neighbourhood than Highgate. It is squeezed in between the 70 acres of ancient Highgate and Queens Woods and the 791 acres of woodland and grassland of Hampstead Heath and its 25 ponds. It is the ideal place to live if you love to bike or run.
Smoking outside only.
