Quiet, cosy double room in 3 bed

Hi, we’re Cally and Francesca and we’re looking for a new housemate to move into this small and cosy double bedroom in our lovely flat. This “maisonette” has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen with dining area, a living room, two bathrooms with toilets&showers and a patio with a little shed for our bikes and (when we’re lucky) some strawberries in the summer!

The bedroom comes with a double bed, wardrobe, a bookcase/set of shelves and bedside table. There is also lots of other storage in the house if you should need more cupboard space. The room overlooks a small park at the back of the house, which is nice and quiet.
It’s a steal at £570 a month, especially given the size of the house and the highly desirable, central London location. The bills are currently around 84 per person on top of rent.

Most of the house has been redone fairly recently and is in good condition. Our landlord (Neil) is a very decent guy who’s always responsive when we need him and who hasn’t raised the rent in years. As we said, you’ll find out it’s very cheap for the location. We’re 5 mins from Canonbury overground station and 10 mins to Dalston overground. We're also close to Angel, Stoke Newington, Highbury. The nearest tube station is Highbury & Islington, on the Victoria Line, about 12 minutes’ walk away. You’ll also find on our doorstep plenty of buses to go to Old Street, the City, London Bridge, Oxford Street, Victoria… And St Pancras is a short 20 minutes’ bus ride away.

You’d be moving in with two female professionals in their early 30s, (Italian and English). While we’re both busy and have our separate lives we often end up chatting in the kitchen and though we've not been living together very long, we definitely plan to have the odd dinner together. This is a quiet house, we don’t really do parties but sometimes have friends/boyfriends over for dinner. So, ideally, we’re looking for someone like-minded, who also has a social life but enjoys the occasional glass of wine and a chat, over 30yo - male or female! We’re also looking for a non-smoker.

Ben, who has lived in the room for 3 years is unfortunately leaving us to move to Sweden but we’ve had a great time living together and I’m sure he’ll be happy to recommend us! So feel free to drop us a line and we can arrange a visit and a chat :)
