A warm and welcoming elderly gentleman with dementia is seeking a 2nd Sharer for his home to give a mix of 15 hours’ help and company in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.
He already has a Sharer and would really benefit from some additional company and activities. Ideally the second sharer would have some dementia knowledge.
The ideal Sharer would work from home at least some of the time, ideally including on Tuesdays when they would be asked to walk him 5 minutes up the road to his tennis club around lunchtime. He would also appreciate some outings, such as to the cinema, or an art gallery, or a walk or for a coffee… and ideally someone who would enjoy playing some tennis or table tennis with him.
Other support would include some practical help around the house (this would be shared with the other Sharer, and another live-out helper) including some shopping, cooking and sharing a few meals, help with light household chores, and prompts and reminders.
The accommodation on offer is bright large double bedroom with ample storage, shared showerroom, and shared use of the home’s other facilities including the kitchen and garden.
The property is conveniently located less than 2 minutes walk from Kew Gardens Station (District Line tube and overground trains).
As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable female non-smoker who ideally shares some of his interests.
