Ensuite in cute Aldgate East flat
|
Ok, here's the basics: it's 930 inc all bills. this includes gas, elec, council tax, broadband, tv (on nice flatscreen), phone (ie basically everything). might be able to rent for more than 6 months if flatmate moves abroad in september. we live on a very quiet street in aldgate east, full of young families although scattered with quite a few hipsters. the flat's close to basically any bars/pubs you might like and we're close enough to shoreditch/old street - it's an easy walk home from central, we're basically close to everything (very handy being in zone 1). I live with another trainee solicitor who walks into work everyday, about 15 min walk to liverpool street station (i'm lazy and take tube - we're a five min walk to aldgate east or whitechapel). so many buses go from whitechapel road/commercial road, so you can get anywhere from this area (eg oxford street is 15 mins).
the flat is in a set of converted victorian houses with one main door at the bottom leading up to outside stairs at the back, looking over the back gardens. we live on the top (second) floor, which means we're in the roof (quite cute). we have sliding french windows from the kitchen/living area on this side of the flat onto the walkway/patio. when you walk into the flat there's a little entrance with my roommate's bathroom to the right. next to that on the right is roommate's bedroom. to the left is my bedroom, with en suite (my room's a bit smaller because of the en suite though, but good storage and v light and bright). The walls are really thick, inside the flat and with next door/downstairs (an old lady lives downstairs, a hipster next door but he's so quiet we thought the flat was empty).
inside my room there's a double bed, bed side table with lamp (those ones you touch to turn on/up - i'm easily impressed), chest of drawers and wardrobe. the flat has lights in the ceiling throughout, and in my room there are modern versions of the old Victorian windows, quite small and low down on the wall.
the en suite has a sink, toilet, heated towel rack and power shower, all newly done.
the living room/kitchen is to the left of the hallway as you come in, and in front of my room. we have a few cupboards each, big fridge/freezer, marble work surfaces, sink (obv), fan cooker thing (which we don't use enough). have two big sofas and coffee table with flat screen tv on on of the walls. also have phone with free evening and weekend calls, and wifi. i'm looking for someone to rent for six months while i'm away in dubai. usually the two of us chill on weeknights or pop to semi-hipster places nearby with friends. we don't really want anyone who's going to trash the flat as i'm not sure what i'm doing about moving back - ideally i'd move back in after dubai, my flatmate is prob going to hong kong in september and we want to at least try and keep the flat (at least for one of us, we never really want to move out now we've found this place). so the flat might be available for a yr in total. let me know if you have any questions! i work quite long hours so evenings would be best to show anyone round. no time wasters please!! if you get in contact please email/text - i'm not likely to pick up the phone at work.
