Easy going, live-in landlord looking for respectable and clean lodger to rent their free bedroom; furnished with double bed, closet, desk and plenty of shelves. The room has two windows - facing to the East and North - which provides plenty of natural light.

The ex-Council Flat has a very large lounge and is the perfect space for inviting friends over and chilling in the evenings and on the weekends. The block of flats also has a shared garden space, where people have their washing lines and occasionally people have a BBQ during the good weather.

The block of flats has an intercom system as well as being fitted with new double glazed windows this year.

I'm a pretty relaxed landlord, but somewhat of a workaholic so while most weekdays I will be returning in the evening, I tend to use the weekends to catch up on my relaxation either in my room or in the lounge. I'm not the type to shut myself away in my room though, my door's always open (as long as I'm not making too much noise) and I'm always up for some chats. I believe I'm the type of person who can get on with everyone, but if you don't want to hang out I'm just fine leaving you to your own devices. The flat is my home, and I've lived there for nearly five years, so I aim for whoever is staying in my spare room to also feel comfortable.

The prospective tenant would be expected to help out with their share of cleaning (half/half), but expected to clean up any personal messes. I feel the flat (especially the lounge) is the perfecting "chilling at home" sort of place so I'd have no problems if you invited your friends around.

Southfields (District Line) tube station is just 10 minutes away, which will get you to Earl's Court in 12 minutes as well as going further into Central London or North to Edgware Road.

Alternatively you can walk 15 minutes to Wandsworth Southside Shopping Centre (which has a cinema, Waitrose, Sainsburys and many clothes stores) for a much wider choice of bus links to Clapham Junction, Victoria, Tooting and Mitcham to name a few, as well as rail links to Waterloo via Wandsworth Town Station.

The area is also quite nice, Southfields isn't the cheapest area in London and there are some really nice big houses to look at if you ever go exploring around. King George's Park is also just up the road which has a large field as well as some tennis courts (you have to pay for it) and a bowls green. If you are up for going for a walk to the West then you can reach Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park.

I'm ideally looking for someone to stay in the room for at least 6 months, but I may still consider shorter ones. As it's my home I want to consider all applicants and determine who I'm most comfortable living with before making my decision, but hopefully not too long. Also while references are required they are preferred.
