Bright room to rent in Hampton Court/East Molesey

Within walking distance of Hampton Court Palace, this gorgeous ground floor flat in a 1930s grade 2 listed building which is part of a lovely, friendly gated community, with communal serviced gardens for residents. The central garden contains a communal 20m swimming pool which is open to residents and their guests in the summer and a tennis court which is can be used year round. Part of the gardens look over the picturesque River Mole and the whole complex is located aprox 5 mins walking distance from Hampton Court train station (zone 6, serving Waterloo, oyster/contactless accepted). It's situated moments away from Hampton Court's boutique shops and award winning eateries, with a gym 3 minutes walk away. Tesco metro is a 7 min walk and there is a large Tesco a 5 minute drive from the flat. There are some really lovely walks or runs to be had along the River Thames, in Hampton Court Palace gardens, Royal Bushy Park or Deer Park -you can start them straight from the flat, no need to drive anywhere to begin them.

The flat is a very light and tranquil space with lots of plants. The living room has large windows across two walls and it's south facing. There is the lovely original wooden parque flooring throughout, central heating and fast reliable broadband wifi.

The community itself is secure, enclosed by railings with electronic gates at the front. There is a secure bike shed in the complex and parking in nearby roads is free, no permits needed!

The room is small 8ft 9" x 7ft 4" and very bright. Currently there's a wooden cabinet about the size of a waredrobe that you can put clothes in, chair and lamp but my previous tennant supplied their own bed and took it with them (it was a double but I think a single fits better imo), I'm happy to help you collect one off fb marketplace or if you want to contribute £50 or so, I may be able to get one ahead of you moving in -there is a sofa bed in the living room if you need to move in immediately.

Everyone in the surrounding flats are really friendly and lovely. I'm good friends with many of my neighbours and there are organised social events in the gardens 2-3 times a year for all the residents to mingle and get to know one another. One of my neighbours is an actress/singing coach and runs a singing group on a Monday, there's also a pub quiz every other Wednesday just down the road which some of us go to. So plenty of oportunities to make friends if you'd like to.

In the summer the gardens are a lovely place to chill or have pals over to and there are communal BBQs residents can use :)

My flat is gorgeous but in my book the people make the place, so ideally looking for someone positive, friendly and easy going to share my home with. I'm a friendly and respectful person and I like to keep the place relatively clean and tidy and a chilled space to come home to, my past tenants have always turned into good friends so I'm hoping this time will be no different.

Each day for me is varied- I'm a rowing coach working for a local school, I run a small design/art business on the side and I've just started work as a travel co-ordinator for the global tour company WeRoad :)

Most bills are included (inclduing grounds maintanence, council tax and internet etc) but Water/Gas/Electricity are not and would need to be paid seprately each month because they're variable and because I've lived on my own for a couple of years I'm not sure how much an extra person living here is going to increase them...). -Currently I pay aprox £135 for gas, water and electricity as 1 person per month. So hopefull it would equal slightly less than that per person!
